Cheryl Anne and her husband, Mike, enjoy living with their dog and three cats in Norland, Ontario, two hours north of Toronto, where Mike is senior pastor at Pioneer Baptist Church since 2021, after pastoring five years at Wawa Baptist Church in Wawa. In Cheryl Anne’s second – and final – retirement from an IT career in a southern Ontario school board, she co-leads two women’s Bible studies, oversees Sunday school and March VBS, participates in July’s VBS and a seven-month children’s program, lends her voice to a worship team, and is church webmaster. With an Honours English degree, Cheryl Anne earned a graduate-level Certificate for Women in Ministry (2016) and is pursuing her Master of Theological Studies degree online from Heritage College and Seminary. Within the community, Cheryl Anne waters plants for the Norland Horticultural Society on Wednesdays, ministers year-round to women attending the library’s Thursday “Knitting Club” and gives away discarded library books at Friday’s farmer’s market. Cheryl Anne loves gardening, acrylic painting, writing papers or Bible studies, studying God’s Word, and reading books or commentaries (really!) to learn and share about Jesus, her Lord and Saviour since a young age.
