Sonya Pearson is a pastor’s wife in rural northeast Kansas on the edge of the Flint Hills. Sonya and her husband Tim have been married for 20 years and serve with RHMA as missionaries, strengthening a small country church. They have two daughters that are entering their teen years. As a pastor’s wife, she helps with worship, ladies’ ministries, kid’s ministries, and one-on-one discipleship. As a mom, she cheers her girls on in basketball and soccer as well as helping with the girls’ kittens, and as a wife, she supports her husband in all that he does in ministry and life, including his many hunting endeavors. When she is not busy with the life of a pastor’s wife and mom, Sonya works as a para-educator with special needs kids in a nearby school district. In her spare time, you might find her reading or playing piano, perfecting her pie crust recipe for the church’s famous gooseberry pies, making Monster Cookie bars, or canning homemade salsa and spaghetti sauce.
